Energy sources

We use energy to do work – whether it is cooking, heating, lighting, transport or operating our machines or devices. So our usage is increasing as we develop new ways of working such as mobile phones or the internet.

What is not always realised is that our energy usage can impact on the environment particularly if these sources are fossil fuels whose combustion gives rise to greenhouse gases which results in global warming.

So there is an ever increasing need to converting existing sources to renewable sources whose usage has little environmental impact.
